| This locomotive was originally built as an experimental 'turbomotive' with turbines instead of cylinders. It was unsuccessful in this form and was rebuilt as a conventional locomotive in 1952. However, 2 months after re-entering service it was destroyed in a collision between 3 trains at Harrow and Wealdstone. |
